The year's gig list is shaping up nicely, and we're particularly happy that we'll be playing the main stage at the Two Rivers Folk Festival in the distinguished company of Mr Lakeman. Hope to see you there...

The debut album Love, Loyalty and Other Lies is attracting some nice reviews. (And a couple not so nice – but don't worry, we're polishing the maces and saddling the horses to go and “have words” with the guilty parties. It's a while since the spikes on the battlements have seen a new head, and the crows are getting hungry...)

We had a great time as always at the Cambridge Folk Festival. This year we spent some time with the guys from Fatea Records. You can find a review of our set and some photos on their web site at: www.fatea-records.co.uk/CAMBRID/cam08
Also included on that part of their website is an article describing the experience of playing the Club Stage from our perspective. This is soon to be followed by a video diary and some live footage from our set – we'll keep you posted.
Also on the subject of Fatea Records, they have included us in their current Showcase Sessions - a series of compilations of new artists. The current Showcase Sessions can be downloaded complete with CD artwork at no charge from:
Thanks in particular to Neil for supporting us.
Enjoy!
Unfortunately, the Sunrise Celebration got flooded. However, we had a brilliant time playing the Avalon Cafe stage at Glastonbury, and at the Wimborne Folk Festival. Photos are now in the Gallery. We also got our hands on a couple of new instruments this year. Details and photos can be found on the Instruments page.
We've just
heard that we're playing a couple of pretty splendid festivals this
year.
First of all, the most excellent Glastonbury Festival,
where we will be playing at some point on the Avalon Cafe stage. Full
details, times etc to follow.
Secondly, we will be playing at the lovely Sunrise Celebration festival.
As usual, come and say hi to us. We'll also be playing (hopefully) at your friendly local folk club. See the gig list on the link at the top of the page for details of forthcoming gigs.
Well what a splendid year it's been...
FolkWords said very nice things about us – see www.folkwords.com
Fatea also said nice things about our performance at the Cambridge Folk Festival – see www.fatea-records.co.uk
We won an award for “Merrie England” - see www.myspace.com/crazy_man_michael
And best of all we did LOADS of live playing! New photographs from Cambridge Folk Festival, Wimborne Folk Festival, and HighBarn are in the Gallery here, and there's plenty more on the way in 2008, so come and see us some time...
