Glastonbury Festival 2008

Here are some pictures from the 2008 Glastonbury Festival, where we played on the Avalon Cafe stage.

It's really nice to go to Glastonbury as an artist, as you get a special place to camp (no little sh*ts stealing stuff from your tent), you get bussed into and out of the festival, and you get backstage passes.

However, some stuff remains less civilized, like sharing the bogs with 120,000 other people. We also have to wonder how many people regretted this sign in the morning. Perhaps you'd like to contact us with your story – we have a song we think you might relate to in about 6 months time...

The Avalon Cafe's a great venue.

Relaxing with serious coffee before playing – already starting to look a bit “festivaly”. Beware a diet based entirely on buffalo chilli and Stella Artois...

It was a good gig. Here is a view from mission control, one of Paul sound checking, one we got of the audience pulling goofy faces for us (and a slightly exhibitionist gentleman kindly displaying his breasts) and the van belonging to the competition, who were playing next door at the same time as us.

And finally, after playing it was time for some “refreshment” and a chance to check out the stage we'll be playing on next year (oh please oh please!). We went back to that stage later, but we didn't stay for long as neither of us enjoys being shouted at by a large American chap.
